Mr. Mac High
The 18th annual Mr. Mac High contest was held Saturday, April 20th at the McMinnville Community Center, with 11 of McMinnville High School’s finest young men vying for the title in a whirlwind of dancing, singing, and entertaining. The event is the culminating activity in a six-month fundraising effort for Doernbecher’s Children’s Hospital in Portland.
The men competing this year included Jack Anderson; Michael Coste; Nicky Domenichini; Austin Ewing; Gilberto Garibaldo; Jack McKeegan; Vincent Rolleri; Grant Rubado; Cody Thomas; Wyatt Waterbury; and the newly crowned Mr. Mac High, Kurtis Cooper.
The group raised approximately $30,000 in theirfundraising efforts. The show also benefitted by the efforts of director Eliza Hallett; Doernbecher Club President Megan Crown; assistant directors Sam Town, and Camille Larocca. Emcees for the evening were last year’s Mr. Mac High Zack Kizer, and Doernbecher Club advisor Don Witten.
