Congratulations to our tennis teams At the district tournament this weekend, the Girls tennis team played excellently. Singles player Caitlan Baker and doubles team Molly Olsen and Sam Purdy both advanced through the semi-finals to qualify for the State competition this week. Congratulations on a Great season!
Boys Tennis Team for a 2nd place finish at the District tournament this past weekend. Two Grizzly doubles teams qualified for the state tournament by reaching the semifinals. Congratulations to Will Worth and Adam Kiff for a 4th place finish in the doubles tournament. A BIG congratulations to the 2013 District Tournament Doubles champions Nathan Johnson and Cody Thomas! These four will compete for MHS this week in Portland at the OSAA State Tennis Tournament. Go Grizz!
Congratulations to our track team Please congratulate the following student-athletes for the their achievements yesterday. They competed in the first day of the Pacific Conference Championships. District Champions qualifying to the state meet Montanna Gubrud – Long Jump 2nd place – qualifying to the state meet as well Ronnie Graham – 3000m
The girls currently are leading the conference with 53 points with the nearest team at 23. The boys are in 4th currently but have lots of points coming their way today…
Mr. Mac High ![]() The 18th annual Mr. Mac High contest was held Saturday, April 20th at the McMinnville Community Center, with 11 of McMinnville High School’s finest young men vying for the title in a whirlwind of dancing, singing, and entertaining. The event is the culminating activity in a six-month fundraising effort for Doernbecher’s Children’s Hospital in Portland.
The men competing this year included Jack Anderson; Michael Coste; Nicky Domenichini; Austin Ewing; Gilberto Garibaldo; Jack McKeegan; Vincent Rolleri; Grant Rubado; Cody Thomas; Wyatt Waterbury; and the newly crowned Mr. Mac High, Kurtis Cooper.
The group raised approximately $30,000 in theirfundraising efforts. The show also benefitted by the efforts of director Eliza Hallett; Doernbecher Club President Megan Crown; assistant directors Sam Town, and Camille Larocca. Emcees for the evening were last year’s Mr. Mac High Zack Kizer, and Doernbecher Club advisor Don Witten. |
