Congratulations to our spelling bee winners
They will represent Grandhaven at the district spelling bee March 7th!
Monday, March 3rd we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday! We celebrated by wearing hats and having a school-wide read aloud. All students signed up for a story of their choice and our entire staff were readers. We all enjoyed a snack following our story. Many other fun activities took place throughout the day at each grade level. | Slide Show

Additional make up days, if needed, will be scheduled the week of June 16-20. MHS Graduation remains as scheduled, June 6, 2014.
We are looking for parents who would like to help facilitate our spring robotic groups for 3rd and 4th graders. They will begin February 10 and run through May 12. It will be one day a week, Wednesdays, after school. Please contact Sue Brosterhous if you are interested 503.565.4728 | eMail
Wells Fargo Grants Awarded
This fall all students in grades 1-5 have had the opportunity to participate in OMSI programs, which were selected specifically by their grade level teachers to coordinate with their science curriculum standards. These programs were provided to us through a $2500 grant, which Mrs. Johnson applied for last fall through Wells Fargo Bank. We are so grateful for this funding and the opportunity to provide this enrichment to our students.
Grandhaven Elementary School was also selected by Wells Fargo Foundation – Greater Oregon Division management team as the recipient of a $1000 grant. These funds will be used to purchase curriculum materials for grades K-5. We are so grateful for this partnership with Well Fargo.
